The Visitor Centre is open 7 days a week, 10am - 4.30pm.
For COVID-19 safety reasons, there are 3 separate entrances: For the Gift Shop, for Cafe takeaway and for Cafe sit in. We are currently operating a limited menu for both takeaway and sit in which includes drinks, cakes, soup, sandwiches and pizza.
Ideally located for an excellent view of the Kelpies, the Visitor Centre is the hub of The Helix. Our Visitor Centre offers a delicious menu in our cafe and unique stock in our gift shop if you want to treat a loved one or yourself.
Offering a unique range of souvenirs and keepsakes from limited edition art works to seasonal goods that would make beautiful gifts.
We worked really closely with Kelpies artist Andy Scott and have a fantastic range of Official Kelpies Merchandise to offer our visitors. We are also really proud to be working with lots of local producers and artists to create a range of lovely treats and gifts from across Scotland.
We also have an online gift shop selling a limited range of Kelpies products.
We are passionate about creating freshly prepared food at The Helix. Our ingredients are sourced where possible from Scotland and our food is handmade by our team of Cooks.
Our location within the Forth Valley south of the Ochil Hills allows us to use just 2 national suppliers for all our produce which keeps our carbon footprint to a minimum. Each company was carefully selected after researching the suppliers they use for their dairy, meat and vegetables which make up the bulk of our ingredients.
There is an exhibition space where you can learn more about the Kelpies and the history of the surrounding Falkirk area. Children will love the colouring in and Lego building opportunities.
