- Early bird £15 plus booking fee available until 2 September
- Standard tickets £20 plus booking fee
- Max 2 free children per adult ticket (please make sure you book these tickets)
- Additional children £5
- Additional support needs area (no extra fee) plus one carer.
Event timetables (subject to change)
- 6.30pm – Gates open
- 6.40pm - Pipe band could be on either side of the road heading towards The Kelpies and perform (20 minutes)
- 7pm – Trad band performance on the stage (20 minutes)
- 7.30pm -Whisky Kiss and Ceilidh
- 8.30pm – event closes

Will the event be suitable for kids?
Yes! This is suitable for all the family from ages 5 to 105!
What time will the event begin?
Our doors will open at 6.30pm the event will start at 7pm
How will my ticket be given to me? Email or by post?
Your tickets will be an e-ticket and can be scanned on your smart phone, you can print it out and bring it with you if you’d prefer. Please download your ticket before arrival. If you cannot find your e-ticket please email bookings@falkirk.gov.uk or call : 01324 506850.
Can I buy a ticket on the day?
Tickets are limited so we advise booking in advance, we cannot guarantee tickets will be available on the day.
Is there food at the event?
Yes. There will be a food and drink available within the event where attendees can buy a range of food all with a Scottish theme.
Can I bring alcohol with me?
No. You cannot bring alcoholic beverages onsite. However, there will be a bar where you can purchase alcoholic beverages at the event.
How long will the event last?
The event will start at 6.30pm and last till 8.30pm.
Will there be intense flashing lights?
Yes. The nature of the event may contain flashing lights.
What should I bring with me?
As this is an outdoor event there may be rain so, please, wrap up warm, and wear suitable footwear for dancing! Remember this is Scotland and as such Scottish weather can be unpredictable so be prepared!
Can I bring my assistance dog?
Yes, guide dogs for the blind, hearing dogs for the deaf and assistance dogs are all permitted.
Am I able to bring my baby pushchair?
No. This event will only be for ages 5+
Are there toilets onsite?
Yes, there are temporary toilets and disabled toilets located next to the visitor centre. There are also a changing places toilet in the large car park at The Helix Park.
Is it suitable for ASN?
We do encourage everyone to come along and participate in our celebrations. Our event will contain loud music and flashing lights which some users may find overwhelming.
We will be operating a quieter area for those with additional support needs within the visitor centre. If you or any member of your group require to have access to this area this must be booked in advance. This area will be indoors however it will still be subject to some noise from the performance area.
Do you have assistance available for those with mobility issues?
Cycling without Age will be available to assist those with limited mobility to attend the event. If you require to use their services, please book this with them direct in advance by calling 07396 803117 or email helixhub@cyclingwithoutagescotland.org
Are there disabled toilets?
Yes, there are disabled toilets available at The Helix Park. Changing places toilets are only available at in the large car park.
What will happen if the weather is bad?
Ceilidh @ The Kelpies will only be cancelled if the weather in Falkirk is perceived to be a danger to the public (e.g. extremely high winds and weather warnings). The Ceilidh @ The Kelpies will not be cancelled in the following circumstances:
- Heavy rain in Falkirk - we advise that all visitors dress appropriately for the weather
- Heavy rain in other areas of Scotland - we advise our visitors to take note of the weather conditions on route to the event and allow ample time for their journey
- Very cold weather - we advise that our visitors dress warmly and appropriately for cold weather
- The decision to cancel will be made at 12pm on the day of Ceilidh @ The Kelpies. Shortly after which we will endeavour to contact you either by e-mail or by text and a notice will be posted on the front page of our website and social media sites
- You should check the website and social media from 9am of the day of the event
Will the event be rescheduled if it is called off due to unforeseen circumstance?
We will work with all the parties and content providers in Ceilidh @ The Kelpies to see if rescheduling is possible. If you have booked tickets for Ceilidh @ The Kelpies, we will contact you directly via email to let you know what will happen. Please keep an eye on our social media about any updates on rescheduled events.
Can I bring my drone?
No. Use of a drone on the site of Ceilidh @ The Kelpies this contravenes aviation safety legislation and, to ensure the safety of the general public, we reserve the right to call the police to intervene.
Will there be photographers/photo opportunities?
Yes, we encourage you to take photos and videos during the event. Please remember to tag Falkirk Council, Scottish Canals and The Helix!
Please note there may be filming and photography taking place at the event. By attending you consent to being filmed for possible inclusion in any media and promotional activity.
Parking Information
Parking will be available at The Kelpies Car Park (charges apply), Helix Car Park and Falkirk Stadium.
All car parks are self-parking and will be on a first come first serve basis.
Blue Badge holders: Parking available on a first come first serve basis at all the above-mentioned car parks.
