Callendar House is the perfect day out for the whole family! Take a stroll around the beautiful park, grab some delicious food to take away, stop in at the tearoom for a cuppa 'n' cake or book in for a delicious Afternoon Tea. You can explore the house, Our Stories - Views of the Past exhibition, the Georgian kitchen and stock up on some pressies at the gift shop on your way out, free entry too.








Entry to the house remains free and you no longer need to pre-book your visit. You can however book in advance for our delicious Afternoon Tea and a table in the Tea Room. You can book online below or by calling us on 01324 506850.

Booking and Info

Our Tearoom is currently open and serving scrumptious food, you can also enjoy a delicious Afternoon Tea in the stunning surroundings of the Drawing Room, over looking the splendour of Callendar Park. Besides a selection of Teas and Coffees, you’ll tuck into treat after treat including freshly prepared sandwiches, mouth-watering home baked scones with preserve and scrumptious cakes. 

We have a reduced capacity to allow for social distancing, there are also hand sanitisers, floor markers and a one way system in place. Customers will be required to wear a mask when entering and moving around but in line with Government guidance can remove them when seated.

In order to comply with the Scottish Government’s Test and Protect scheme, we ask that visitors pre-book their Afternoon Tea here and if planning a visit to the Tearoom, please pre-book your table here.
Please note tables in our Tearoom are booked for 1 hour and customers must arrive at their booked time slot. Afternoon Tea bookings will have a 1 hour 30 minutes.

Booking Information

Falkirk Community Trust was saddened to hear of the death of Dame Elizabeth Blackadder yesterday; born in Falkirk, she was one of Scotland’s leading contemporary artists best known for her landscapes, still lifes, and delicate images of flowers and cats. Her work is held in collections across Scotland and beyond including Falkirk’s own art collection and some of these works are currently on display in the Park Gallery in Callendar House as part of the exhibition, Local Heroes.


Local Heroes runs from Sat 26 June to Sun 3 October in the Park Gallery.

Our Stories - Views of the Past runs until Sun 29 August in the Second Floor Galleries.

  • From Edinburgh: Follow M9 westbound. Exit at Junction 5 and follow brown and white tourist signage for Callendar House & Park.
  • From Glasgow: Follow M80/A80 eastbound. Join M876 (signposted Kincardine Bridge, Falkirk, Grangemouth). Merge onto M9. Exit at Junction 6 and follow brown and white tourist signage for Callendar House & Park.
  • From the North: Follow A9/M9 south. Exit M9 at Junction 6 and follow brown and white tourist signage for Callendar House & Park.
  • Free Parking: The car park is accessed via Seaton Place (passed the high flats, across from the row of cottages). Additional parking available at Estates Avenue. 
  • Disabled parking available in front of Callendar House. 

By Train:

Local archives and photographs are held here, and may be viewed by the public. Most aspects of local life are covered, from valuation and electoral rolls to old newspapers, from school records to town council minutes, from foundry catalogues to church bazaar programmes, and all sorts of things in between.
