Something fantastic is happening in central Scotland! Land between Grangemouth and Falkirk is being transformed into the Helix.
Discover the Helix here.
New paths are being constructed all across the Helix, in Helix South, Helix North, and Central Park - discover where the Helix could take you.
Demand for allotments is growing throughout Scotland and the Falkirk area is no exception. Our new project will create allotments in the Helix South area, which will be managed with the support of the Falkirk Allotment Society.
The Helix is a place to relax and enjoy, a place to explore, but it is also a unique opportunity for local businesses to develop and grow as the site becomes busier over the coming years.

Walking, running and cycling are already popular activities on these new routes which provide vital connections between local towns and villages between Grangemouth and Falkirk.
Since the Helix South paths opened in June 2011 they have become popular local routes as well as the ideal environment to enjoy some fresh air and exercise. With easy access to the Helix South paths from Beancross they are perfect for all users, and the solid surface is ideal for wheelchair users.
Many new facilities are being developed for The Helix. Find out about Central Park and the Canal Hub, which will provide excellent facilities for all visitors including cafés, toilets, event spaces and much more.
Dundee based architects Nicoll Russell Studios has won a competition to design a visitor centre for the Canal Hub. The £1m building will provide visitor facilities close to the landmark Kelpies sculptures designed by Andy Scott.
