THE KELPIES ARRIVE SAFE AND SOUND IN
CHICAGO
Scale models of The Kelpies are now on show in the
Windy City as part of the 2012 Chicago Sculpture
International Outdoor Exhibition.
Andy Scott's creations have just gone on display in Grant Park,
a major greenspace located in Chicago's central business
district. The park contains performance venues, gardens, art
work, sporting and harbor facilities. It hosts public gatherings
and several large annual events.
Our banner pic above shows The Kelpies against a backdrop of
Chicago's imposing skyline, dominated by the Willis Tower.
The pic below, taken from a different angle, shows the Field
Museum of Natural History in the background.
Andy, pictured below with his creations, is the only
non-American artist exhibiting at the event.
