The cafe deck will face onto the lagoon area. Visitors will be able to take in some refreshments and enjoy watching the activity on the lagoon. You may even be tempted to try out some of the planned waterbased activity.
The deck will be positioned directly on the lagoon.
The lagoon will support a range of activity including opportunities for organised swimming events.
Central Park will be one of the most innovative 'peoples parks' in Scotland, supporting a range of leisure and recreational opportunities. A Place to Boat, Walk, Explore, Cycle, & Relax.
Allows a comparison of the Stadium size relative to the new lagoon. Although not obvious from this angle, the stadium would sit comfortably within the lagoon and still leave room around the perimeter.
Central Park will be accessible from multiple points providing safe access including a key access point from the stadium paths running below the A904 Road on the former rail line.

The main Plaza will connect the lagoon to the events space. It will create major public space providing a sense of welcome for visitors. The area will be a contemporary space where people will be able to meet up with friends and family or simply spend time relaxing, using the multiple and varied seating areas.
The Plaza will be a key access point to the main features in Central Park including the splash play, paths, visitor building, lagoon and events space. The area itself will also be flexible to support a range of events.
The existing wetland will be improved to support and enhance the biodiversity in the area. Access and interpretation will be provided to allow visitors to experience and learn more about this rich habitat and its importance to the wider area.
In addition to allowing interpretation and access to the wetland, the boardwalk will overcome the fluctuating seasonal water levels in the ponds to draw people through the site to the Kelpies and Canal Hub.
