engaging talks exploring Falkirk's Industrial History from the 18th
to 20th centuries. Learn about the people who walked through
this landscape and left their mark on our
Andy Crisp (Kelpie Tour Guide) will walk you through a period of
history that shaped Falkirk's Industrial Heritage. He'll introduce
you to industrial geniuses that changed the world from James Watt
to the Earl of Zetland on to the 20th century.
These engaging presentations will last for 30 - 40 minutes
with some time for questions and
chat. Included in the ticket price is a freshly

28th February. Tickets for all three events can be
purchased for £20.00 with each individual session at £10.00.
Thursday 14th February
An evening spent tracing the early years of the Industrial
Revolution in Scotland through the people who were actually here,
taking the first steps in the journey to the present day. Coal,
iron and steam in the hands of industry's true pioneers.
Thursday 21st February
Picking up the story, we see how the progress made in the late
eighteenth century was built on by its successors. Railwaymania,
the beginnings of the oil industry and some surprising
international connections lead us through a remarkable century,
ending with a glimpse of the modern era.
Thursday 28th February
The last instalment of the Footprint Trilogy brings us fully
into the modern age. An invention that may have done more than any
other to shape the modern world, revolutions in travel, manufacture
and entertainment bring our story out of history and into the realm
of living memory.
