The Kelpies are the world's largest equine structures and opened to the public in April 2014.

This is a very exciting period and the post of Kelpies Guide provides a unique opportunity to be involved with presenting these amazing sculptures to tourists visiting from all over the world. We are looking for enthusiastic people who can deliver exciting and engaging tours of The Kelpies.

As a Guide you will have a passion for great customer service, understand the customers' needs and have a genuine interest in The Helix project. Experience as a tour guide would be desirable but is not essential. Ultimately, we are looking for individuals who are flexible, have the ability to work as part of a team and also have a willingness to learn.

You will be responsible for undertaking a range of duties from taking groups on a tour of the Kelpies, selling tickets & retail products, cash handling and general administrative duties. You will be confident in using your own initiative and will also be able to follow Health & Safety procedures.

This post is based at The Visitor Centre at The Helix  between Falkirk and Grangemouth and will operate across a 7 day rota, requiring regular weekend working. You will be required to work outside for the majority of the working day.

You will work 19.5 hours per week including evenings and weekends.

This post is temporary until October 2017 due to seasonal requirements.

The successful applicant will be employed by Falkirk Community Trust. The Trust is a charitable company set up by Falkirk Council to deliver culture, library, recreation and sport services on its behalf from 1st July 2011. You will receive a generous benefits package which includes free membership of our health and fitness services.

The successful candidate will undergo a basic level criminal records check via Disclosure Scotland.
