Helix submits Planning Permission in Principle Application for Central Park
18th May 2010
The planning application seeks consent in principle for the creation of a Central Park within an area of land central to the Helix project area, south of the Forth & Clyde Canal and north of the Falkirk Stadium.
The Central Park will create a safe, attractive and welcoming place for local residents and visitors. It will also continue to promote biodiversity.
The proposal includes the following main elements:
· A Waterbody
· An Event Space
· The Square (public realm space)
· Woodland and Grassland
· West Mains Pond Wetland Reserve and Boardwalks
· Pathways
· Play Areas
· Wetland
Once further refined, the plans relating to the detailed design of the proposal will be submitted for Council approval.
